Some projects are doom scroll material, indeed; however, the industry is unpredictable. Look at 'Deadpool'—stuck for years, then explodes. It's an uphill battle, but every cinephile holding a script believes they've got the next sleeper hit. And that's no laughing matter.

Just joined this sub. Is it that bad? Here I was prepping my pitch bible for the next big meet. 😮

Harsh, dude. But honestly, isn't whining on the internet what it's for? Besides cat memes?

Underwater basket weaving, you say? Heck, that sounds more attainable than getting funded. But imagine the crossover potential with a deep-sea thriller... Taking notes.

Pottery's cool but won't give you the rush of seeing your written characters come alive—even if it's a one in a million shot. Not all of us are just 'whining', some peeps here are making strides to be the exception to the rule.

There's some truth to that burn. It's tough to see so many great stories get shelved. But hey, for every 100 stuck in hell, 1 might just break through to haunt our screens - and those odds are why we're all still here.

yeah, I get that a lot don't make it but man, gotta have hope, right? I mean if it were easy, everyone would have a film out. Doesn't hurt to dream and keep pushing. We all start somewhere!

Oh, the painful truth of it. Watched three of my scripts get devoured by the 'promise' of production. Not even salty anymore, just gonna sip my whiskey and laugh at the optimists.
