I have a butter I found on a grocery store today in Shanghai. It's called: "Book, I am your butter" and actually tasted gross. Even my friends didn't want to eat this shit.
UPDATE: Threw the whole butter away. Now it's good!

I've heard of bad translations leading to some hilarious product names, but 'Book, I am your butter' takes the cake... or should I say toast? Looks like a serious case of lost in translation. Would've been a good piece for the kitchen shelf, just for the laughs and the weirdness factor.

You get what you pay for with these off-brands, my friend. Stick to the real deal if you want quality. The name alone is a red flag for a culinary disaster. Can't say I'm surprised it ended up in the trash. Next time, go for the genuine article!

Seeing off-brands like 'Book, I am your butter' is one of the reasons I love shopping at local foreign markets. You never know what treasures you'll find. Too bad it was a miss on the flavor, but at least it gave you and your friends a good laugh. I'd love to see a picture of the wrapping if you took one before the great butter toss!

It references the quote "Luke, I am your father"

I'm just stuck on the fact someone out there in marketing was like yes, this is the one, Star Wars themed butter - that's gonna sell. 😅 Iconic movie lines are sacred, man. Don't mess with the classics... especially if your product is below par. Could've been a collectible if it actually tasted good lol.

Could've been a weird oil they used or maybe some odd preservative? I've had some strange 'off-brand' experiences myself, but never with butter. Pro tip: if you're trying new stuff, maybe just get a small portion first. Save yourself the trouble (and the cash) if it's crap.
