Found a fake Nintendo Switch console

Just went to Family Dollar and found a fake Nintendo Switch console. The name looks suspicious: "NRNSFWSA SRTCOH", and the logo looks like someone took the Nintendo Switch logo and made it worser.

As for the console itself, it looks like a Nintendo Switch, except it's shaped differently, and the Joy-Cons can't be slided. Also, the console only plays Famicom games. That's like having a Famiclone or a Dendy. To make matters worse, there were no famous games in this Famiclone. And there was a kung fu game completely disguised as "Super Mario" and a shooter game disguised as "Kirby", even including a game about drugs disguised as "Zelda Adventure". All of those games didn't have the iconic characters.

Not the first time I've heard of a console like that. They sell them under the radar because they know the big N will come after them at some point. It's illegal and they could face serious consequences. It's also a scam towards the less informed. If you know someone that's about to fall for it, you should definitely intervene and let them know it's fake.

No joy-cons sliding? What even is the point then? Aren't those half the fun of the Switch??? Sounds like a flea market special lol. At least those can be so bad they're good. Like 'so bad it's art' level.

NRNSFWSA SRTCOH? Sounds like a disease, not a console. Just burn it before it lays eggs 😂

This is an interesting find for a collector of fake consoles. There's an odd market out there for stuff like this. I mean, the 'Zelda Adventure' disguised game about drugs just screams bootleg gold. Did you happen to get any photos or even buy it for posterity? Would love to see how bad it truly was.

Do those games even work properly? Lmao these knockoff consoles usually got terrible emulation & end up frying themselves. Can't look away from this trainwreck though, got any pics?

Yikes, that's a lawsuit waiting to happen. Nintendo's pretty aggressive with protecting their IP. Can't believe Family Dollar would risk stocking something that sketchy. Quality control must be non-existent. Besides, I'd be worried about plugging that thing into my TV, who knows if it's safety compliant.

Aw man, these knockoffs are always a trip down memory lane. The fact that it plays Famicom games is kinda rad, though. Not that I'm condoning fakes, but a Franken-Switch that plays old-school titles has its ironic appeal. Pity about the games not having the original characters, it really takes away from the experience. Do the cartridge labels look as bad as the console's logo?

Lol NRNSFWSA SRTCOH gotta love these names, they just smash the keyboard and call it a day 😂 But hey, Famicom games are classic, could b fun if u wanna dive into retro gaming. Just it being shaped weird sounds like a collector's nightmare. Those knockoff 'Mario' and 'Kirby' games sound horribly good, any screenshots?
