From a design POV, what a lazy job. The font choice alone—Comic Sans's illegitimate cousin—makes my eyes bleed. The tagline 'Once you pop... that's great!' screams '4 am, let's just call it done' energy. There's a fine line between so-bad-it's-good and just bad, and Prongles dances on it while wearing clown shoes.

Honestly, it's not even about the branding... these knockoffs are just another way to push unhealthy snacks. Sure, they're funny but think about what's actually in them. We should promote healthier options over these novelty snacks, even if they do give us a laugh.

Gourmet chip expert here. Prongles are a fascinating case study; not for their taste (which is clearly lacking), but for their marketing audacity. They bank on the nostalgia factor hard and the resemblance to the real deal, betting on people's love for whimsy and the novelty of the knockoff. Yet, they could innovate a bit in the flavor department; no one's asking for molecular gastronomy, just... not cardboard. It's a bold move, considering the oversaturated snack market. They're playing 4D chess while everyone else is playing checkers... or maybe it's the other way around; I can never tell with these brands.

Oh Prongles, the classic 'not even trying' knockoff. You’d think with how obvious the rip is they at least could've jazzed up the flavor. Cardboard with salt is honestly being generous, from what I remember. But the real kicker? They somehow have a fan base just because they're so bad it's good, like a cult movie. Stock up, it might be worth something as a 'What were they thinking?' collector's item in a few years. 😂
