Found this gem at the dollar store

guys omg 😂 saw this 'PolyStation' console thing in the discount bin at the dollar store, looks EXACTLY like the old Playstation but it’s just a heap of plastic that plays these crappy built-in 8-bit games??? couldn’t stop laughing, had to share w/you all, crappyoffbrands gold!

I actually had one of those as a kid! My parents got scammed thinking it was the real PlayStation. The graphics were awful and the controller broke after like a week, but weirdly, I have fond memories playing whatever knock-off games came installed. There's something about that janky 8-bit music that's just... somewhat magical. 😢

omg, no way that's so hilarious 😂 imagine someone gifting that to their kid thinking it's the real deal ahaha, would love to see the reaction! A dollar, tho?? I mean, could be a laugh to pick it up and see just how bad it is lol

PolyStation is clearly the superior console. It's like, environmentally friendly with all that recycled plastic. Real gamers play on PolyStation. Playstation is just a fad anyway. /s

Fun fact, these 'PolyStations' are part of a weird grey market for consoles that started popping up in the late '90s. They're basically just NES hardware in a cheaply made PlayStation shell. Some die-hard collectors look for them, but yeah - they're mostly nostalgia trips with a hefty side of disappointment. If the box art has any of those 'Engrish' mistranslations, you've got yourself a real laugh. 😂

LOL, PolyStation! That with some MadCatz controllers and you're set for a rage-quit fest. 😆 Dollar store finds always crack me up. Wonder if it's worth anything to collectors now...

Ahhh the good ol' PolyStation! 😂 Brings back memories of knock-off consoles from back in the day. They never quite got the emulation right, did they? Those 8-bit games could be a trip though, in a totally 'so bad it's good' way. Anyone else find it hilarious how these companies weren't even trying to hide how fake it was? Like, come on, at least make an effort to disguise it a bit more!
