Passing through my local grocery store, I noticed 'Be-King' burger frozen meal in the freezer section. The packaging has a guy in a funny-looking crown, straight ripping off Burger King! Dunno how they can simply 'be King.' Handling crappy offbrands is one thing. Eating them is something else.

Oh swell. Yet another fast-food impersonator trying to muscle into the freezer section. Remember 'Chicken Possibility'? Or how about 'Pizza Hovel'? Talk about belly laughs trying to junior-varsity the originals. Guess they figured 'Be-King' was their ticket to the big leagues. 🙄

I absolutely can't stand when companies rip off the design, logo, or style of a brand that has worked hard to establish themselves. It's underhanded and unethical. Let's be honest, 'Be-King' will never be 'B-King'. They should just be 'Be-Gone'.

What's interesting is that these obvious knock-offs survive in the market. It's like observing a bizarre form of branding evolution. Even though the package design and naming are clearly derivative, they have to make their product just distinctive enough not to get sued, but close enough that a quick glance might fool a shopper. How these 'off-brands' navigate that thin line, now that's quite the art.
