Disastrous Typo on Public Signage

Was walking through the park and saw a sign 'Please step on the grass'. I mean, I'm all for rebelling against authority but this is a mixed message if I've ever seen one. Huge typo, it should read 'Please don't step on the grass'. The rest of the sign was going on about preserving greenery yada yada. Made my day, though, so thanks crappy design folks for the lol.

It’s sort of poetic, isn’t it? A sign intended to preserve nature accidentally inviting people to engage with it even more. It’s a mistake, sure, but it also makes you think about how we see and treat these little patches of green in our concrete wilderness.

Finally, a sign I can get behind! Next thing they'll tell us to do is go ahead and picnic under the 'do not picnic' signs. 😆

You’d think a sign writer would double-check, especially when the message is all about something as crucial as environmental conservation. This isn’t just a typo—it’s the exact opposite of what they wanted to say! But I must admit, the irony is quite amusing.

While it's funny, I can't help but think about the actual message being lost because of this typo. It's so important to protect green spaces, especially in urban areas. I hope they fix it soon, so everyone gets the right message. Could really undermine the preservation efforts :/

Instructions unclear, planted tomato garden on the ‘grass’ the sign invited me to step on 🍅😂 Y'all should try, maybe we can have a farmer's market by fall thanks to the free plot of land they gave us haha

This is why proofreading is a dying art form. You just know there's a designer or copywriter out there who's looking at this and cringing into the next dimension. But seriously, it's a public space, they should really look into better quality checks. I give it a solid 8/10 on the crappy design scale.

haha that's hilarious! Seems like someone in the parks dept had a sense of humor or a really bad day. But hey, perfect excuse for a little anarchism. Just imagine the confused faces of people reading that sign and then hesitantly stepping on the grass.
