Whoever designed that packaging probably did it as a cruel joke. They’re at home laughing at the chaos they’ve caused. On a serious note, petition to ban this type of packaging, anyone?

Pro tip for next time: use a can opener on the edge of the clamshell packaging. Works like a charm without turning it into a life-threatening task. Stay safe!

Lol first time? That's how it always is with scissors and other tools. Welcome to the paradox of packaging.

Ah, the old 'you need scissors to get scissors' deal. Next up: buying a can opener in a can you need a can opener to open. Genius marketing ploy if u ask me.

Its not just annoying but terrible for the environment. All that plastic for nothing. We should be moving towards sustainable packaging that doesn’t require an arsenal of tools to open!

Ugh this annoys me every single time! Why can't they just use like a twist tie or something easy? Here’s an idea. Stores should have a communal pair of scissors at checkout for this exact reason!

Actually, it’s a theft deterrent thing. Retailers demand packaging that is hard to open so that people can't easily steal the item. Also, that hard plastic is less prone to damage during shipping. Not defending it though, the struggle is real. Hate it when I have to rescue my rescue tools from their plastic prison!

Every time I see this I'm like, seriously? It's a universal problem. Like buying a new garbage bin and it's got a sticker inside that you need to take OUT THE TRASH to remove! 😂
