Just moved into a new apartment and uhm....guys, the toilet is LITERALLY in the shower. Why?? Who thought, 'yeah, let's get it all done at once'. Now I shower with my toilet paper in the sink. Way to go, building designer, way to go.

Ah, the classic toilet in the shower predicament... If you've got the budget, reworking a bathroom layout is totally feasible. And if you're renting, might be worth looking into some removable wall options to separate the two. But until then, guess waterproof toilet-paper holders are your new best friends, huh? 🧻

Long time lurker here and let me tell you, your instance really stands out even in the realm of crap design.
This is not just a design blunder, but also a very clear sign of non-compliance with International Residential Code which clearly indicates that water outlets for tubs or showers shall be located a distance not less than 15 inches (305 mm) from the adjoining wall and not less than 70 inches (1778 mm) above the shower floor which indirectly also stresses enough space between a shower and toilet.
This haphazard design isn't just inconvenient for you, it's non-compliant and arguably dangerous if any electrical aspects come into play. If you're renting, I'd bring it up with your landlord ASAP. They could likely be held liable for any accidents that might occur due this.
