Prepare to mourn the monumental 'Chronos Quest', a triptych of animated movies that never made it to our screens. Announced with concept art that promised a story across three different eras with interlocking destinies, the concept alone was an ambitious cinematic game changer. The first film was set in the distant past, the second in a cyberpunk present, and the third in a post-apocalyptic future. The way the team planned to weave these stories together had me hyped beyond belief. Then, five years in, and after an enthralling trailer that set the community ablaze with theories and anticipation, the project was shelved due to a cocktail of budget overruns, legal issues, and a market thought 'too risky' for such an innovative, genre-bending work. Now, all we've got are scattered bits of leaked storyboards and a community of fans sharing what-could-have-beens.

The concept art released for Chronos Quest was out of this world. Literally, the design for the future era was looking insane! Imagine what might've been if they had actually completed the whole series. Feels like we lost a whole universe of lore and amazing art.

I'm just holding onto a sliver of hope that maybe, just maybe, someone will pick up Chronos Quest again in the future. Dunno if that's naive, but hey, we've seen other projects get resurrected. Just think about the Snyder Cut! Fans can make a difference, maybe we just need to be loud enough about how much we want this.

Would love to get more deets on the legal issues that contributed to Chronos Quest's demise. These types of ambitious projects often have loads of complicated rights and contracts. Sometimes wonder if it's not just the creativity that takes a hit, but also the rigid structures of the industry that aren't adapting fast enough to support these innovative concepts.

The cyberpunk part of Chronos Quest was what I was here for! The market may seem 'risky' but that's only because studio execs can't see past their ledgers. So what if it doesn't look like printing money right off the bat? Innovation is risky, but that's how you make something memorable. Smh.

Man, Chronos Quest sounded like such a fresh take on the whole interconnected story idea. I remember seeing that trailer and just being blown away by the animation quality and the concept. It's such a bummer that funding and legal crud tanked it. Will always wonder how they'd pull off the connections between the times.
