Been worldbuilding this sprawling sci-fi universe for like, a decade? Planned a series of novels, 'The Galaxiad'. Had everything from star-crossed alien lovers to galaxy-wide wars. Couldn't make a dent when pitching to publishers. Everyone wants the next 'Expanse' but no one wants to take a chance on the unknown. Sigh, guess not every star gets a chance to shine. Back to the drawing board, or maybe not.

I've been in the trenches with you. My own magnum opus never saw the light of day. But that doesn't mean the story in your heart isn’t worth telling. If the publishers don’t see it yet, self-publish a chapter or two on a platform for serial fiction. Let the real audience, the readers, decide if it's worth their time. Keep the faith!

A decade of worldbuilding - respect, that's some serious effort. Sure it's tough to break into the scene, but think about crowdfunding or posting chapters on a blog or social media to build up your own fanbase. The 'Expanse' started as a series of posts on a forum, right? Keep pushing, and keep us posted here, for real!

Man, I feel this on so many levels. I've been trying to get my fantasy series off the ground and it's brutal out there. But don't give up, dude! Maybe try self-publishing? There's a lot of platforms where you can get your work out without a publisher. Who knows, it might just get enough traction on its own!
