So, there was this true crime podcast I was OBSESSED with called The Untold Case Files. The hosts would pick up cold cases and dive deep, like DEEP deep. They promised to solve one by the end of the season. Got all of us hooked, waiting on tenterhooks. Then midnight, the season finale drops - it's 2 minutes of dead air and a tweet saying they're done. LIKE WHAT? Anybody else was following it? Need to vent with folks who understand the frustration.

Never get too hooked on these sorts of promises. The industry's all about hype. Everyone wants to be the next Serial or S-Town until the real work starts. Then poof, gone like a ghost. Lessons to be learned, don't trust a podcast to finish the detective work.

This is exactly why I've started keeping my own case files as I listen to podcasts like these. Too many shows promise the moon and can't deliver. But even with the letdown, I still learned a lot from the episodes they did put out. Just gotta keep searching for the next big thing, I guess.

Right there with you, I was devastated when I saw that last 'episode' and read the tweet. No explanation, no nothing. I’m still hoping they’ll come back one day, I mean, there has to be more to the story, right? They can't just leave us like that!

Honestly, I saw it coming. The deeper they went without solid evidence, the clearer the wall they were gonna hit. Seems they built up expectations they just couldn't fulfill. It's a shame, but that's the risk with unsolved cases, isn't it?
