Was really rooting for my DIY drone project to take off this summer. Had it all sketched out. Bought motors, GPS module, and even started coding. Guess I underestimated the whole project. Time's not on my side and neither's the budget. It's dead in the water... or should I say dead in the air. Any tips on staying motivated for the next one?

Motivation is tough, it's true. Maybe set smaller goals and celebrate the tiny wins along the way? Also, remember there's a mountain of drone projects on Instructables and Hackaday you can use for reference and inspo. Sometimes seeing how others problem-solved can spark that mojo again.

Tackling a DIY drone is no joke; lots of respect for even starting! Have you considered reaching out to local hobby groups or online communities for support? Collaborating could keep you motivated and maybe even snag some budget-friendly tips. Don't forget to leverage open-source software and hardware to cut costs and ease the process in your next take.

Totally feel you on the time & budget crunch, it happens to the best of us. Try documenting what didn't work this time and plan around it for the next build. Future u will thank u for those notes! Also, watch some drone build vids, always gets me hyped again.

hang in there! we've all been there with projects tumbling down. Don't throw in the towel yet, maybe just take a breather? sometimes stepping back for a bit gives u a fresh perspective when u come back to it. and who knows, might find some spare change in the couch cushions for that budget problem lol
