Cancelled too soon: The game that could have been my childhood

Y'all remember Chronicle Quest from way back? Platformer with that cute little knight and the dragon? Had that demo on a magazine CD. Played it to death. Then they just cancelled it outta nowhere. That game was basically my childhood dream, and I still think about what adventures I missed out on.

YES!! That game was literally going to define a genre; I can just feel it. The art, gameplay and that little knight! So much cuteness and hardcore gaming mixed in one. We were robbed, my friends, ROBBED! 😢

Heard of it but never played the demo. Shame it got cancelled, always sucks when a game with potential doesn't see the light of day :/

Ah, Chronicle Quest, a lost piece of platforming history. From the demo, the combo of platforming and puzzle elements was fascinating. It might've even set a precedent for future games if it'd survived. The soundtrack snippets alone were stellar, and that level of detail in the early 3D models? Unheard of! I'll pour one out for all the lost 'could-have-beens' in gaming.

OMG, YES! Chronicle Quest was so cute! I literally cried when they canceled it. The art style alone was enough to get you hooked, and pairing that with what felt like could've been an epic storyline... It's just tragic 😭

Oh, I have some insider info on that. Chronicle Quest got canned because the studio had funding issues. Heard from a buddy that the design lead had a major disagreement with the publishers on the direction of the game, which didn't help either. Such a waste of potential, we all know it could've been a classic if it got finished. What a different childhood we could've had, right?

Dude, Chronicle Quest was THE bomb! I remember that demo; graphics were ahead of its time and the mechanics felt so smooth for a platformer back then. Like, why cancel such a gem? Sometimes I imagine the devs sitting on a complete version somewhere just laughing at us lol.
