That new MMO, Eterna Realms or whatever, got axed. Big surprise, huh? They promised a world that'd give Skyrim a run for its money, but what'd we get? Two years of 'coming soon' and then POOF, gone. Just venting here, tired of getting hyped for nothing. Is it THAT hard to finish a game these days? smh

It all comes down to money. These indie devs underestimate the budget needed for an MMO. It's not just creating the game; it's sustaining it. With games like Skyrim, they had years and massive budgets behind them. A crowdfunding campaign can't compete with that. Until these studios get real about costs, we'll keep seeing cancellations.

Man this sucks... I've been teaching myself game design, hoping to work on something as ambitious as Eterna Realms one day. It's heartbreaking to see these projects vanish. But also, it's a harsh lesson. Gotta start small, make sure you can finish what you start before promising the moon. RIP Eterna.

I've been following Eterna Realms since the early hype. It's a shame; the concept had so much potential. The industry seriously needs a reality check. Can't keep announcing titles they can't finish. Who's got a good, completed MMO to recommend while we mourn another one lost to dev hell?

You've gotta understand that game dev is a massive undertaking, especially for an MMO. It's not just about finishing a game; it's about building an entire universe that works. Server costs, bug squashing, and content creation is a nightmare loop. Plus, if they don't have a big studio backing them, it's a steep hill to climb.
