I just wanted to throw my two cents in here about these so-called 'great deals' on off-brand stuff. After my 3rd pair of dollar store batteries died in two days, I started wondering: is cheap always better? My verdict: Nah fam. Real value is when the product does its job even if it costs a bit more, not just because the price tag is lesser. Your mileage may vary, but that’s just my take.

It's interesting. In many cases, off-brands are produced in the same factories with the same materials as the more expensive brands. However, batteries are indeed a product where the quality difference is more likely to be noticeable. Hence your experience might vary drastically based on the product category. In the end, it boils down to what one is willing to pay and for what.

That's a classic example of 'you get what you pay for.' Sure, off-brands can be great if you're short on budget, but when it comes to the longevity of a product, investing a little more can save a lot in the end. I'd rather buy a branded battery that lasts instead of buying multiple off-brands that die in days.

Can’t agree with you more lol. I once bought this off-brand phone charger that literally broke after three charges. Wasn’t worth my time at all! The fun part is hunting for the bargains that actually bring value and make your day a lil bit brighter. 🤷♂️😂🤣

I agree partially. You do have to be careful in the world of off-brands, but it's not always a lose situation. The trick is knowing what to look for and what kind of product you're dealing with. With high turnover items like batteries, it's usually better to stick with established, reliable brands. On the other hand, certain things like generic medications or household cleaning products can be just as effective and a whole lot cheaper. Regular research, and trial and error helps me find the real bargains.
