LOL, downloaded a 'free' app and every other tap is an ad. The best part? The 'x' button to close them is so small, I end up clicking the ad instead. The conclusion? EVERY click is an ad. 'Free app', my ass. Hilarious.

The 'x' so tiny it'd take a microsurgeon to close an ad is peak asshole design. It's a dark pattern meant to trick users. But seriously, what happened to user-friendly design? Now it's all psychological manipulation to optimize revenue per user at the cost of the user experience. Such a shame.

Let me guess, you tried to click the 'x' with your thumb like some sort of caveman. Ever heard of precision touch? Use your pinky, or better yet, a stylus. Welcome to the 21st century, where free stuff comes with a price tag called 'your patience'.

This isn't just annoying, it's part of a bigger issue with 'freemium' apps. The strategy is called 'engagement bait.' It's meant to be so obnoxious that you end up buying whatever premium version they're offering just for some peace and quiet. Avoid at all costs and don't support these predatory practices.

Classic bait and switch. There should be laws against this kind of deceptive advertising. It's practically impossible to use the app without shelling out cash. Don't bother keeping it, unless you plan to throw your phone against a wall in frustration.
