Shrinking products, same big box...

Ugh, just bought my fav cereal and notice the bag is half empty. They keep the box the same size, but there’s less and less in it each time I buy it! How is this not false advertising? Paying same price for air... Cool cool cool.

At least the toy inside didn’t shrink. Oh wait, they don’t do those anymore lol

Besides ripping us off, think about the waste. All that extra packaging just ends up in landfills. Why not reduce the box size and save some trees? Oh wait, that would make too much sense.

Big Cereal has been playing this game for years. Tiny cereal bags in massive boxes. Guess the air is free though, right? But hey, it’s all about the profit margins, baby! Consumers come last.

Technically, as long as the weight is listed correctly, it's not false advertising, more like deceptive packaging. The FTC has guidelines on this but it’s kinda murky water. Companies exploit these loopholes to make more profit, which is a total jerk move.

Start comparing unit prices, not just the box size. Some stores show the price per ounce. That’s the real deal - how much bang you’re getting for your buck.

This has been the trend. Boxes stay the same, content shrinks, prices go up. Classic economic shrinkflation. They’re banking on us not noticing. We're literally consuming capitalism.

Yeah, it’s called slack-fill and companies are being super sneaky about it. It’s like we’re paying more for less and they think we won’t notice. Someone needs to call them out on this crap.
