Evil Printers and Their 'Low Ink' Lies

So my printer, right? It's always crying about low ink when there's clearly a ton left. The chip in the cartridge says 'nah, you need a refill'. It's supposed to be a convenience but it's just a scam for more $$$. You pop in a new cartridge, and suddenly it's like, 'Oh, NOW I can print that one black and white page you needed.' Asshole design at it's finest. Forced obsolescence and fake warnings, just to make us bleed money.

Why even print, bro? Just send a raven. Works for Westeros, might work for you too.

Yeah and in other news, water is wet. Ever wonder why printer ink is more expensive than vintage wine? Because we keep buying it. Vote with your wallet and get a laser printer or something. Or go back to handwriting like it's 1899.

The worst part isn't just the cost, it's the environmental waste. These companies don't just bleed us dry, they're trashing the planet too with their planned obsolescence. We need better recycling programs for cartridges or better yet, more efficient printers!

As a designer, the 'low ink' game has ruined my prints more than once. You're not alone, we're all part of this money-draining scheme. Always looking for better ways to deal with it, if anyone's got insider info.

Pro tip: buy a continuous ink system and never look back. A bit of an investment but it ends up paying for itself after a few refills. Screw those overpriced, underfilled ink pots they call cartridges.

THIS!!! It's infuriating! You're basically buying a printer everytime you get a new set of cartridges. The cost is ridiculous and the 'low ink' pop-up is the devil's work. Don't even get me started on those 'smart' printers.

New here but isn't there a way to bypass that ink level warning? I heard you can cover some sensor on the cartridge and it just… keeps printing? Anyone tried that?

i feel u on this one. Literally just reset my 'empty' cartridge chip, and like magic, it prints again. There's a buncha ways to trick the system if ur willing to get a bit techy, check YouTube maybe?
