Honestly, I feel betrayed every time. I've started to exclusively buy brands that respect my pocket needs. Vote with your wallet, that's what I say.

Fake pockets are the bane of my existence. WHY do they do this to us? We need the space!!

Jeans shopping has become minefield navigation. I legit do a 'pocket check' in the fitting room now. It's like some twisted game they play with us. Also, RIP to all the loose change we've lost to those stitched imposter pockets.

So here's the deal. You can actually turn those fake pockets into real ones if you're up for a bit of DIY. Just seam rip the fake outline and sew a real pocket bag inside. Takes a bit of effort, but super satisfying once done! I've converted like half my wardrobe this way.

Designer here. Believe it or not, sometimes it's a style over function issue. Pockets can alter the fit and silhouette that designers aim for. But I agree, it's frustrating. That's why I always check the pockets before buying—saved me from disappointment multiple times!
