Seriously, printer ink is a scam

Don't get me started on printer ink. Bought a printer 2 months ago, ink is already low? And the replacement cartridges cost more than the printer?? HOW is that not the epitome of #assholedesign? They basically make it so you gotta keep buying those little overpriced liquid gold pots. Absolute madness.

Every single time. You're not even printing anything and BAM, 'ink is low'. Like how??? And you can't print black and white without the cyan!! What the actual...just another day in the rip-off economy.

Honestly, it's a rigged game. These printers are designed to churn through ink. Look into continuous ink systems or printers that come with years' worth of ink. Upfront cost is more, but it pays off and you beat them at their own game.

Just wait till you see the 'low ink' message even when you can clearly see there's ink left. It's the printer crying wolf because it wants more of that sweet, sweet 'liquid gold'.

Actually, these companies often sell printers at a loss and make up for it with ink sales. It's called the razor-and-blades business model. Pretty clever on their part but super frustrating for us consumers.

Pro Tip: Some third-party ink works just as well and costs half the price. Check online reviews before you buy, though, seen some horror stories.

This is why I've gone completely digital. No more printers, no more ink, no nonsense. Save the planet, save your wallet.

It's such a wasteful industry too. Not just a scam but horrible for the environment. Refillable tanks should be the standard. I've switched to a printer with a tank, lasts forever, and no stupid cartridges.
