Who does dis?

Just bought a new phone, right? Took an eternity to turn on, then overheats in like 10 mins. Not sure if it's asshole design or just crap tech. Either way, bleh.

Oh no! I'm about to buy a new phone soon. Really hope I don't face the same issue. 😟

That's probably a Brand X phone, isn't it? I had the same problem with them. Had to switch to another brand, haven't had a problem since.

This is why everybody needs to know their consumer rights! If the product is faulty, then under consumer law they have to replace it or refund you. Don't let them push you around!

Woah, mate. That doesn't sound good at all. Have you tried factory resetting it? Sometimes it works wonders. Also, check to see if there are any rogue apps draining your battery and causing the phone to overheat.

Phone repair guy here.

Sounds like a thermal issue. Could be one of three things: the battery, the CPU, or the charging circuit. The battery might be faulty and getting too hot when charging/under load. The CPU might not be thermally bonded to the heatsink properly so it heats up fast. Lastly, the charging circuit might be fucked and sending too much current.

Should still be under warranty. Get it replaced.

Damn, that's rough. I've had similar experiences with certain brands, real pain in the ass. Try and see if the manufacturer can sort it out under warranty.

eh mate, did you try updating the software and closing all unnecessary apps running in the background? Overheating could be a symptom of a software issue or overworked hardware. Give that a crack.
