True dat on RNNs and long dependencies. Was playing around with a simple RNN for text generation, and the results were laughable. Then switched to LSTM, and it was like night and day!

Doing my thesis on GANs and omg the pain is real. The theory is cool and all but when you're trying to get them to converge without mode collapse—total nightmare. 😩

While this is a decent summary, those getting into deep learning should know that the devil is in the details. Take CNNs for example; the architecture (like VGG, ResNet, Inception, etc.) plays a huge role in performance. And for RNNs, you have to look at attention mechanisms, which have been a game-changer ever since the Transformer model came out. Don't even get me started on GANs; the stability of training is an art in itself!
