Had an epiphany while watching a couple struggle to calculate their bill at a cafe, DESPITE having their smartphones out. Like, what? It's weird; we have these powerful tools at our fingertips, but it seems like without them, we're helpless. Isn’t that kinda terrifying? What happened to good ol' brain power?

I feel the issue may be overstated. Humans have always used tools to make tasks easier, and that's what smartphones are—tools. We still have the capability to think and do mental math; we just choose the efficient path more often because it's available. I don't think it makes us dumber, just more reliant on the tools we create.

I think you're missing the point of smart tech. It's designed to streamline tasks and free up our brains for more complex thought. The problem isn't smartphones; it's how people choose to use them. Embrace the tech, but don't become a robot!

LOL, seriously? Can't do basic math? I bet they couldn't even split the bill in half without using an app. Come on, people, exercising ur brain is just as important as hitting the gym for ur body. Don't let your phones do everything for you!

I totally get where you're coming from. It's like we're offloading basic functions our brains used to do without a second thought. Makes you wonder if we'll forget how to do simple math in a couple of generations! It's got its conveniences, but I'm all for keeping the brain sharp without relying on tech for everything.
