Well, the world wouldn't be okay. Even our country, Serbia, would suffer from this.

Thinking about your comment... There's a deep sadness in the possibility of losing these touchstones. Each landmark carries a myriad of personal memories for millions of people. Losing them would be like ripping pages out of the world’s scrapbook. Imagine all the stories that start with 'I remember when I first saw...' – gone. Hopefully, we'll never have to face the echoes of such silence.

We should also consider the environmental impact of such destruction. Ancient landmarks often sit in harmony with their landscapes, having lasted centuries. Modern construction just doesn't have this synergy. The carbon footprint alone of rebuilding such structures would be monumental, not to mention the loss of green space and ecosystems that old landmarks typically preserve.

Loss of landmarks would mean the loss of connection to our past. It's through these historic sites and monuments that we learn about the eras gone by. The effects would be more than just visual or touristic. Think about the loss of a nation's pride and the gaps it would create in our education buffer. Historians and archeologists work tirelessly to preserve these for a reason, and that's not just for the sake of having them—they teach us, and they remind us of how far we've come and at what costs.
