Make the most unlikable protagonist you can think of ... and then make us love them.

I dare you. Take the most obnoxious, vile, and downright detestable character you can think of, and then write a story so good that by the end, we're rooting for them. It's like... they're a trash fire, but they're OUR trash fire, y'know?
