Just imagine the plot twists you could play with here. Armstrong's discovery leads to a secret meeting with alien ambassadors. Maybe the aliens want to draft Earth into a cosmic alliance because some other threat is looming. Or even better, what if the aliens are actually future humans communicating through this moon-sized beacon? Time-travel shenanigans, anyone?
