Don't really know if this has been done before, but what if this famed monster hunter, feared and respected by all, has a big secret? They don't actually kill any of the creatures but instead relocates them to a sanctuary they created. It's this big conspiracy, and they have to keep up appearances so they won't get found out. Maybe one day someone witnesses what they're really doing... What happens next?

DUDE. This is metal af. I'm picturing a massive battle where the hero's back's against the wall and all the monsters they've saved come roaring out of the sanctuary to repay the favor. Like one of those epic fantasy album covers with lightning and flames everywhere. Throw in a betrayal somewhere and you've got yourself a saga!

This could be an interesting metaphor for environmental conservation. The hero could represent those who take drastic action to preserve endangered species. As for what happens next, the whistleblower could join the cause or threaten to tear it all down depending on how you spin their motives.

First time commenter here... I really like this idea. I can see a very emotional moment when the hero is confronted by someone who finds out - maybe a child or a former enemy, and it changes everything. It's the kind of story that could explore themes of prejudice and redemption.

I'm digging this idea. Could even turn it into a game where you play as the hero covering up tracks, using decoys, and fooling townsfolk. Each 'saved' monster could grant the hero special abilities or buffs too. The end game though, that's when things get tricky, balancing human expectations and monster safety. Would play 10/10.

I can imagine this sanctuary getting so overcrowded and the hero starts getting sloppy with their 'hunts'. Someone's bound to follow them back and boom, whole sanctuary exposed. Would be a wild scene with all the creatures defending their safe haven!
