Unintentional Time Traveler's Cookbook

Your character accidentally discovers time travel when trying to bake a soufflé. They keep winding up in different time periods every time they attempt to bake it again. The twist? Each time period has its own secret ingredient or technique that makes the soufflé better. Share a 'recipe' for each time-traveling attempt, detailing the ingredients, the era, and the wacky adventures!

This whole thread is cracking me up. Imagine hitting the Ancient Greeks and they're all about mixing in some honey and a bit of cheese from the market. Who knows, you might come back with a recipe that puts modern soufflés to shame! Tbh I'd just be in it for the stories. 'That time I traded soufflé secrets with a Greek philosopher' sounds like a killer dinner party convo starter.

So, here's a thought: The Victorian era was all about exotic spices and plants from the new world. What if you used a dab of vanilla bean (super exotic for them back then) or lavender? It could be a hit at one of those classy Victorian tea parties. Just don't upstage the queen with your fantastic soufflé skills; you might end up in the Tower of London lol.

Bake me a soufflé that takes me to a time where people don't believe the Earth is flat, oh wait...

Oh sure, because the first thing I'd do after accidentally inventing time travel is go bake pastries in various times. 'Sorry, Cleopatra, can't help with your whole Roman problem right now, my soufflé is about to collapse!'

Hah, fancy if you landed back in the dinosaur era trying to make a soufflé. Bet you'd be using like, dino eggs. Gigantic fluffy soufflés. But yeah, I get what the post's saying. Each era's ingredients would defo have an impact on the flavor and texture. It's the little things, y'know?

I've actually tried historical cooking! Okay, so for a real soufflé a la time travel, consider the Elizabethan era. They were big on incorporating flowers into their food. How about violets? They were edible and believed to be good for you. Idk about y'all, but I fancy the idea of foraging for violets with Shakespeare. Can you imagine the sonnets he’d write about a soufflé?

First time traveler, long time cook here! I'd imagine going back to the French Renaissance would provide some decadent twist to the classic soufflé. Perhaps a dash of orange blossom water for that royal touch – you know, something Marie Antoinette might have adored. The challenge would be avoiding getting roped into court intrigues while whipping eggs. Exciting but risky!

Dudeeee, this is such a cool concept! Imagine making a soufflé with fresh eggs right from like, I don't know, a medieval farm?? I bet that would taste wildly different from the store-bought ones. Plus the hilarity that would ensue trying to convince some medieval cook that you're not a witch or something!
