In the ancient Kingdom of Chronos, each person is born with a timer showing how much time they have left to live. Instead of gold or silver, time is the currency. You can work to earn more time or spend it to buy goods and luxuries. However, spending your time carelessly can bring your own end closer. Write about a brave soul who decides to gamble all their time to save another, or maybe exploit the system.

Really cool prompt! I'm curious about the logistics of the time-based economy. Is there inflation when people earn extra time? What's the time-to-goods exchange rate? Could a stock market of sorts determine the value of different people's time based on their skills/abilities? So many questions!

I can picture the main character being someone who starts out hoarding time selfishly but then faces a moment of truth where they have to decide if they'll die for someone they love. Classic hero's journey stuff but with an existential edge. Bet that'd hit right in the feels.

This is a fascinating idea, but it begs the ethical question: is it moral to extend one's life at the expense of another's? How does this system handle inequality, and what implications would it have for crime in this kingdom? So many layers to peel back here.
