Okay, so the protagonist is a teenager who can time travel, but every jump ages him a year. Help?

Hi guys, I'm new here, but I'm working on a story. So my hero is this kid who can time travel, right? But there's a catch - every time he jumps, he ages a year. This could lead to so many difficulties down the line... for him and for me as a writer, lol. Wondering how you'd approach this. Thanks!

Wow, never heard a more original storyline. Teenager and time travel. Groundbreaking. Mind-blowing. Add a vampire and you have the next YA sensation... 🙄

I see such a sense of melancholy here... A boy forced to grow old before his time. He's a teenager, but each jump makes him lose a part of his youth. There's poetry in that. I hope you explore that space!

I'd be sure to flesh out the consequences of this power. Like, what's the physical toll on him? If he's technically 25 but looks 40, how does that affect his lung capacity, overall health, etc. Also, social implications! Does he watch his friends graduate before him because he's lost years? There's a lot of potential drama and character development here!

This kid's definitely living in fast forward, huh? 😂 He needs to do some time-outs, if you catch my drift 😉

Cool concept, mate! It's a bit of a paradox, though, 'cause your character might end up older than his own parents! Maybe you could also work on coming up with a way he can restore his physical age...

Hey, welcome to the sub! Your premise sounds really intriguing. Maybe start with him realizing the aging part and trying hard not to time travel. And when he can't avoid using his powers, he goes away for a while to hide his age jumps?

Hmm, what if he jumps back a year, wouldn't he de-age then? Or is there a rule about not going backwards? If not, that's one loophole to consider.
