Ya know those 'Stop' signs?

They're not really making us stop, are they? I mean, there's always that one dude in every neighborhood who just rolls right through. Like, it's for safety, not for decoration. Lol.

Fun fact: did you know the stop sign originated in Michigan, USA, in 1915? They initially started out as a measure to control traffic, especially at junctions where there were neither police officers nor traffic signals. And yes, they are more for safety and less for decoration, so people should really respect them.

In my day, folks respected the rules. None of this 'rolling right through' nonsense. This generation has no discipline, I tell you!

Haha, you got a point! Maybe they should change 'Stop' to 'Pause...but not really'. LOL!

I know right? In my neighbourhood, it’s that guy with the red sports car. Thinks he owns the road! The worst part is when he rolls through while kids are playing in the street. Something needs to be done about it.

Your use of 'they're' in this context is grammatically incorrect. You should have used 'it's'. 'They're' implies the subject is plural, but you're referencing a singular sign.

I totally get you and it really gets on my nerves too. Like, it's not just about breaking a rule. It's about risking lives. I mean, what's the rush?!

Lol, well maybe we're just more skilled drivers. You gotta live on the edge a bit, man.
