Just when we thought innovation could go no lower, we encounter TrackRoll. On paper, it's a unique concept - an app that's supposed to keep track of our daily roll consumption (I have a weakness for bread, shoot me). The app's accents on food photography and sharing updates got me curious.
The installation process was smooth, but the app's design left a lot to be desired. Glitchy interface and random shutdowns were the least of its sins. The camera feature didn't work properly; my beautifully glazed cinnamon rolls often rendered as amorphous, brown blobs. As for the main purpose of the app: tracking my roll consumption, pitifully failed. It ended up adding phantom rolls to my daily tally!
But what gets my goat is the data consumption. Not sure what it's uploading or downloading, but it managed to use up a whopping 2GB of data within a week! Needless to say, I bid adieu to this roll-disaster.

I'd love an app that tracks my carb intake effectively, especially as a runner who needs to plan my meals efficiently. Reading this felt like a rollercoaster - initially excited for something that fits my needs, then the disappointment kicked in. The problems you experienced are unacceptable for any app, let alone one that aims at dietary management.

Oh, a bread tracking app you say? Too bad this one went sourdough... I mean south. Excuse my puns, I knead them to get through the day 😉. So annoyed about the camera feature fail - I love snapping my baguettes in all their glory. Guess the hunt continues!

App developer here. Sounds like they've got some rough edges to file down. Buggy interfaces and faulty camera integration - bad development practices, man. And the data consumption? If it's not optimized, it'll chew through your data plan like nothing. As for the phantom rolls... eerie but probably a bug with their tracking system. They got their work cut out for them.
