I can't even IMAGINE a world where chocolate isn’t a thing! like what would our desserts be?? no choco-chip cookies, no chocolate bars, no hot cocoa on cold days... so many foods would be gone or super different! not just that, think of the economies in places like Ivory Coast. would they have another cash crop, or? sooo glad chocolate is real!

Yo, let's talk history for a sec. Without chocolate, the whole European colonization might've been different. Cacao was big $$ for colonies. No chocolate might mean less incentive for some of the expeditions & conquests. So, countries like Spain and Portugal may have had different priorities, changing a big chunk of history.

Honestly this could have been a win for the vegan scene. There'd be way more creative plant-based desserts out there without chocolate overshadowing everything. Plus, the cacao industry has a lot of problems with fair trade and labor conditions.

Interesting point about the economy. The chocolate industry is huge globally, but if it never existed, those resources would've probably just shifted to another lucrative crop, maybe something we can’t even think of cuz chocolate has always been in that spot? Coffee or sugar might've been even bigger, and regions specializing in cacao might have completely different landscapes and economies. 🌾💹
