What if Dinosaurs Never Went Extinct?

It's wild to consider, but stick with me. If the dino-killing asteroid had missed Earth, we'd live in a world where dinosaurs and mammals evolved side-by-side. Maybe we'd see epic ecosystems with diverse reptilian giants and mammals. Could humans even have emerged? Would we be on the dinner menu for T-rexes or riding triceratops into battle?

It's likely that the dinosaurs' would've continued to adapt, possibly becoming more intelligent, and what then? With the dino niches filled, mammals may not have evolved past small, nocturnal creatures. Forget about cities, we'd be grappling with sentient dino-societies and figuring out how not to get squashed. And think about the butterfly effect on evolution—maybe even create ecological niches we can't fathom!
