Well, I asked to myself this question. I heard that people would have to use shades to prevent the world from melting, since chocolate easily melts. And I heard if someone were to eat it, they would have to add DRM to prevent the thief from eating the whole buildings or melting it.

This scenario would be an environmental disaster. The demand for cocoa would strip the planet clean of resources. Rainforests would disappear even faster than they are now. This might seem like a sweet dream, but it's a nightmare for Earth.

As a pastry chef, I'm gonna say this wouldn't work out. Chocolate is temperamental, expands in heat, contracts in the cold. Buildings would crumble, streets would be impassable, and UV light actually degrades chocolate quality. Plus, the economy would crash. Imagine 'eating' into your savings, literally!

Chocolate melting point is between 86–90°F (30–32°C). So if we're talking real chocolate, any place with a temperate climate would be a sticky mess. Also, chocolate absorbs odors, so imagine the smell of a city made of chocolate – not as delicious as you'd think!
