What would happen if AIs ran this entire subreddit? Would the quality of posts improve cause of the lack of human error, or would it become emotionless and bland? Could they come up with even crazier what-if scenarios than we do, or would they just not 'get' it? Thoughts?

Sounds boring to me. Whole point of What If is the craziness and fun behind the questions people ask. AI gonna be like 'What if gravity reversed for 1.3 seconds' scientifically interesting maybe, but where's the chaos of ‘What if your bellybutton was a real button’?

Imagine the possibilities! Advanced AI could synthesize scenarios across multiple dimensions of thought, spanning theology, quantum physics, and alien sociology. Though, would they understand the weight of their own questions? The humor in absurdity? The wisdom behind madness? I'd be curious to see, but also concerned we'd lose a bit of our soul here.

Wouldn't it just become like playing a game of 'Telephone' with Siri or Alexa? Sure, the AI might be able to generate some wild scenarios, but without human error, aren't we missing out on the hilariously wrong predictions that lead to the best discussions here??

As a writer, I use 'what if' questions to spark ideas for stories, and humans have a unique way of asking questions that are influenced by our fears, hopes, and dreams. If AI took over, I feel like the prompts might become more about plausibility and less about the fun and mystical what-ifs that spur creativity.

It's an intriguing concept but the real charm of this subreddit is the human element. The spontaneity, the emotions, the unpredictability. AI may reduce errors but I can't imagine a machine replicating the depth of human imagination in what-ifs.
