What if water was actually invisible?

Lol, imagine all water on Earth was invisible. Dumb fish swimming in what looks like nothing. And people would be like 'why am I floating?' every time they went for a swim. Showering would be a mess, good luck figuring out if you're clean or not hahaha

No but seriously, how on earth would you know if you've rinsed off the soap in the shower???

From a marine bio perspective this would be wild. Imagine diving and not seeing the water around you, just the marine life floating in space. The ocean would look like outer space filled with fish and corals... trippy!

Think of all the pranks tho. Someone's standing there and suddenly SPLASH, invisible water balloon to the face 😂

Water visibility is actually crucial for safety, like for ships navigating through icebergs. Without seeing ice on the water's surface, wouldn't that be like a whole new level of danger?

Actually if water were invisible, it'd have profound implications on the environment. Photosynthesis in aquatic plants relies on light, so if water didn't absorb any light, plants would have a surplus which could really mess up aquatic ecosystems. Not to mention the challenge for predators in locating prey. Visibility in water is an important factor in aquatic hunting. And the water cycle would look insane, try spotting invisible clouds and predicting rain!
