I miss these stores so badly

They are: BHS (British Home Stores), Phones 4u, JJB Sports, Gamestation, Esprit, Thorntons (as a physical store), and Debenhams (as a physical store).

Oh yeah, those stores. Times change, I guess. 🤷

Esprit had some timeless pieces, not gonna lie. Their clothes lasted ages as well. Hate sifting through pages online now just to find the right shirt.

Debenhams - that one's interesting. I think the physical stores had a certain magic, especially the flagship ones with the restaurants inside. Yet, there's no denying the convenience of online shopping. But could it be we're losing community by letting these giants fall?

Thorntons as a physical store was an experience! The smell when you walked in was mouthwatering, and you could see them making the chocolate sometimes. Sure, it's handy getting it delivered, but nothing beats picking your own mix of chocs and having a cheeky sample while they packed it up.

Gamestation > GAME. Better staff, better prices. Rip off now tbh.

JJB was the business for football boots back in the day, right? Proper gander at the kit before you bought it. Kids today will never know the joy of that - just click and hope it fits now.

Phones 4u was my go-to. Remember when they actually knew about the phones they were selling? Online reviews just don't cut it sometimes. Plus the deals were ace in store.

Ah, BHS had the best lighting section, hands down. And not to mention the Christmas decor around the holidays. Just not the same browsing online.
