Best chippy in the North?

Just moved to Sheffield and I'm on a sacred mission to find the best fish and chip shop. My life practically revolves around a good chippy tea on Fridays, so help a girl out!

Back in my day, every chippy was top notch. Now it's all about the 'gourmet' experience. I say, stick to the classics! The Admiral is an institution - their recipe hasn't changed since the war, and that’s how it should be!

Chips & Dips on Abbeydale Road’s a good shout. Been there loads of times after footy matches. Solid grub.

Meh, they all taste the same after a few pints. Go to wherever's closest and save yourself a walk! 😂

Just moved here myself, tried Ocean's Catch near the university and it's not bad. Batter could use work, but they're decent!

Honestly, it's a disgrace what passes for 'chips' in some places. If you want proper chips, Admiral on Eccy Road has got you covered. Properly seasoned, great fish, and never too greasy. Accept nothing less than the best.

Haddock Be Thy Name ain't half bad if you end up near Crookes. Plus, the staff are always up for a chat. Can't beat good service, eh?

The Peppy's over in Broomhill and Two Steps on Sharrow Vale Road are iconic - they've been frying up bliss for ages. If you fancy a bit of a twist, Banner's in Nether Edge has some lush options, bit different from your classic chippy, but worth a punt!

Sheffield's got some belters, mate! You gotta check out Kingfisher on Mansfield Road. Their batter's crispier than a frosty morning and the portions are massive. Good luck on yer quest!
