How do you kill time while your Sim is at work?

So my Sim's got this 9-to-5 and I just sit there watching the time go by... What do you guys do to make this less boring? Any tips for multitasking in-game or should I just fast forward and hope for the best? 😴

Just stare at the screen and contemplate your own existence while your Sim is grinding away. Gets me every time, LOL.

One thing a lot of players don't realize is that when your Sim is at work, it's the perfect chance to check on your Sim's needs and queue up actions for them to perform right after work. That way, they're super efficient once they're home. Also, if you have other family members, switch between them to maximize your household productivity.

I just fast forward tbh. I mean, watching them slog at work is too much like real life for me. Hit that fast forward, grab a snack, and before you know it, they're home and ready for the fun stuff.

Here's an idea, craft a narrative for your Sim. I use the time to write a backstory or develop a side story, you know? Like, who are their friends, what's their deepest desire, any rivalries? Maybe plan a party or plot some kind of mischief for when they get off work. Immersion is key!

I'm new to playing The Sims and I was wondering the same thing! Right now I just go through all the decorations and try to really personalize my Sim's house. It's fun to see how much you can do with the game!

lol just type in 'speed 3' and whooooosh time flies by 😂 but for real, take the edge off the boredom with some cheat codes, maybe make a mess of things for a laugh. It's a game, have fun with it!

Why not get into Build Mode? I use the time to renovate my Sim's home or build a new community lot. Totally immerses you and by the time you're done, your Sim is back and you've got a brand new spot in town!

I totally get you, waiting for a Sim at work can be dull. What I usually do is use that time to plan out my Sim's life progression or household upgrades. Sometimes, I might even dive into CAS to tweak some outfits for the upcoming in-game events. Keeps the creative juices flowing, y'know?
