New here, what's good in Japanese anime dubbing?

Hey guys, totally new to anime and heard dubbing can be hit or miss. Can ya'll recommend some shows where the English VO is on point? Much appreciated!

If you're starting with dubs man, Naruto's a classic. Lotsa episodes but the English voice actors grow on you, especially Naruto's. You get so used to it, feels weird to switch. For something less mainstream, give Space Dandy a look, it's pretty fun and the dub feels right for the wacky space setting.

If you're into something less action-y, the dub for Toradora! is super cute and the voices fit the characters to a T. Also, Clannad's dub gets the feels across pretty well, the VAs do a great job with the emotional scenes. Just make sure you have tissues at the ready. 😭

In the world of anime dubs, there's a lot to choose from but not all are created equal. I'm a HUGE fan of voice actors and I gotta say Steins;Gate's dub is exceptional. Takes a few episodes to get used to the slang, but the voice acting carries the emotion and humor so well. Also, Attack on Titan - Bryce Papenbrook as Eren brings an incredible amount of energy that's totally needed for the role. If you're into the process behind VO, there's tons of interviews and panels with the actors online too.

Why ruin the experience with dubs lol? Japanese voice acting is where it’s at. But if you must, go watch Dragon Ball Z. It's probably the only time yelling in English doesn't sound totally off.

Just got into anime myself! I heard good things about the dub for Death Note and it did NOT disappoint. The voice actors for Light and L? Spot on! Makes the mind games even more intense.

dude check out Samurai Champloo, the dub is chill and totally fits the vibe of the show. And if you like something newer, My Hero Academia's dub is pretty solid.

If you're looking for top-tier English dubs, Cowboy Bebop is basically the gold standard. Incredible voice work that fits the characters perfectly. Also, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood has a dub that does justice to the OG Japanese version. Can't go wrong with these!
