yo gang, getting friends over this weekend and wanna know which Mario Party we should try? Last thing I remember playing was Mario Party 4 on the GameCube and that was a blast. We got Switches and stuff, so all suggestions are welcome!

Honestly, Superstars is OK if you’re into the retro vibe. Super Mario Party tried some new things, some worked and some didn’t. The motion controls can be a hit or miss, and the boards are a bit meh. Personally, I’d stick to Mario Party 4 via emulator. That was peak Party if you ask me.

FYI, if you wanna go full nostalgic, get Superstars. It’s like revisiting your childhood with a better controller lol. If you want something a bit different but equally fun, Super Mario Party’s your game. The rhythm mini-games are an absolute hit, and so is the co-op River Survival mode, don't miss that!

Gonna have to throw another vote on Mario Party Superstars. It’s got the classic feel with a modern polish, and you can't go wrong with a game that's basically made for the Switch. Plus, the online play is actually good if you’ve got pals who can't make it in person.

Nothing beats the classics. If you can get a setup with the old games, hit up Mario Party 2 or 3. But on the Switch, Super Mario Party is decent and the Partner Party mode can lead to some interesting team dynamics. Not as cutthroat as the old days, but still competitive enough for a lighthearted throwdown.

Mario Party Superstars for the Switch is where it’s at if you're feeling nostalgic. It's got remastered boards from the N64 era and a bunch of classic mini-games that'll definitely remind you of MP4 times. It’s also pretty noob-friendly if you've got friends who haven’t played in ages.
