Managing Life with Strict Parents - Some Hello and A Big Thanks :)

It's been couple months since I joined this community & it has been eye-opening. Had these super strict folks who sometimes drove me nuts. Seen all from ridiculous rules, harsh diagnostics, and what not. With you all sharing your experiences and giving advice, things are less daunting now. Managing conversations, setting boundaries and yes, those occasional rebellious vents, everything has helped me keep sane. Big thanks to everyone here. Let's keep the support going!

It's important that you're reaching out and sharing your experiences. Continue setting those boundaries and engaging in healthy dialogue. Don't hesitate to seek professional help if you feel things are getting too intense. We're here to support you.

As a mom, I can empathize with both you and your parents. It's a delicate balancing act trying to protect our kids and wanting them to grow up into responsible adults. Remember that your parents are also trying to figure things out as they go along. Keep the lines of communication open and don't lose sight of your dreams.

Stand your ground, don't let them crush your spirit. You're not alone and we can all bounce back stronger from our experiences. You've got this!

You've got the right attitude, kiddo. Sometimes the strictest parents are the ones who care the most. They can seem harsh and demanding, but they want you to succeed in life. It can definitely be tough, not gonna lie. But remember that they're trying to prepare you for a world that won't always be kind to you. Sharing your experiences and learning from others here does help, doesn't it?! Stay positive and know that it does get better. There's always good advice floating around this sub if you ever need it.

Hey, I totally feel ya! My parents were the same, but over time things did change a bit. Respect their viewpoints, give them some room to breathe, and hopefully they'll do the same for ya. Keep your head up! Things get better.
