Who even goes to dog racing these days? Walked by Owlerton Stadium and couldn't help but chuckle. It's like a relic from a past nobody wants to remember. Might as well turn it into a giant pub, would prob see more business that way... thoughts?

I remember as a kiddo, going there with me family. Times have changed though, haven't they? A giant pub, might work, but could also turn it into a place for markets or fairs. Kept some good memories from there; sad to see traditions die out sometimes.

Owlerton has a rich history in Sheffield, and it's been around since the 1920s! It would be a shame to lose a piece of that history, even if dog racing has fallen out of favor. I'd hope any change would preserve some of the site's character, maybe a museum or heritage center with exhibits about local sports including dog racing?

Don't knock it till you try it. It's a bit of heritage, isn't it? Adds character to Sheffield. But I get that it's not the same with all the dog racing controversy. Massive pub? Could be a laugh, but I reckon a mix of sports bar and live music venue would smash it.

Ah mate, u gotta give it a chance. Seems old school but it can be a proper night out. I get what you mean tho, not everyone's cuppa tea these days with the awareness about animal welfare an all. Pubs aren't a bad shout. Could do with a new one in our area.
