These chocolates promised weight loss. In fact, they didn't. They helped you lose a few calories, but not all calories. Shark Tank people were not expecting this.

This chocolate had a green tea extract that helped the chocolate bar block a few fat. Many people that tried it said that it was disgusting and didn't help with obesity.

This is an unfortunate but all-too-common situation in the diet industry. Weight loss and healthy eating requires a comprehensive approach, not just a single 'miracle' ingredient like green tea extract. While it's true that green tea has been linked to slight fat burning boosts when consumed in large quantities, it won't be effective in scenarios like this where the quantity is likely minimal. Another consideration is how the other ingredients in the chocolate bar (sugar, fat, etc.) may offset any potential benefits of green tea. Thanks for the heads-up on this product!

I dug into this one during airtime.
First off, MinusCal Chocolate relies on a propriety blend called 'Interference', which disrupts fat absorption in the body, apparently. But, there's no detailed scientific study to back up these claims, just a lot of sales talk. The only thing it really disrupts is your wallet!
In reality, it's almost impossible for a dessert food like chocolate to actively cause weight loss. Healthy foods help you maintain a calorie deficit which leads to weight loss, but eating more chocolate is never a part of that. The Sharks were misled and so were we.
