Hackathon events in the Bay Area?

Any fellow coders here know of upcoming hackathons in SF or nearby? Want to network and put my skills to the test. Preferably something with a focus on sustainability or social good. Need info on dates, locations, and how to sign up. Hit me up with anything you got!

If you're into social good, look up Random Hacks of Kindness. They have a SF chapter that does really cool work. Not sure when the next event is, but they're all about tech that makes the world better.

I came across a local hackathon for non-profits last quarter, can't recall the name but it was a weekend event. Keep an eye on the meetup dot com groups, they sometimes have leads on smaller more community oriented stuff.

There’s always something at Galvanize SF. They host a ton of workshops and hackathons, and many focus on social impact. Get on their mailing list.

I'm also looking for hackathons as a way to dive into real programming challenges. Heard something about a TechCrunch Disrupt Hackathon. If anyone knows if beginners are welcome, that would be ace.

Super into sustainability here 🌱 Last year I participated in a Hack for Earth event and it was mind-blowing. Met people who actually care about making a difference. I'll DM you if I hear about something similar popping up soon!

There's a hackathon coming up focused on sustainability! I think it's called GreenHack or something? It should be happening next month. Usually, these are posted on Eventbrite, so maybe try searching there?

Check out AngelHack, they've got events worldwide including SF. They often focus on social impact challenges. Dates and venues change, so keep an eye on their website or sign up for the newsletter.
