Is /r/memes going too far?

I've noticed a lot of really concerning content on /r/memes lately... some posts are super offensive and clearly break the subreddit rules. Are the mods even paying attention? Idk, it just feels like they're slipping.

Oh wow, I didn't know there were rules issues here. Guess I'm still figuring out how this whole subreddit thing works 😂

Back in the day, mods seemed more active in /r/memes. Maybe they're just overloaded with the sheer volume now. Site's infrastructure has changed a lot.

Why don't you try reporting the posts instead of calling out the mods? It takes the whole community to make subreddits nicer. Maybe they just need more eyes on the content.

First of all, can we talk about the grammar in these posts? Also, yeah, memes are weird nowadays, but that's the internet for ya. Mods are probably just as overwhelmed.

It's /r/memes, not the UN. Some people take jokes too seriously. Lighten up, laugh a little. That's kinda the point of memes, right?

Yeah, I've seen a few posts lately that seemed to cross the line. It's like the rules don't even exist sometimes. Mods definitely need to step up.
