Shut down /r/GrammaticalOverlords

Seriously, has anyone actually tried having a conversation in /r/GrammaticalOverlords? The grammar police are in full force, correcting the most trivial things while ignoring actual language abuse. Petty much? It's turning into a hate-filled space for anyone brave enough to make a typo.

Back in my day, we didn't have a whole subreddit to butcher the English language. You either got it right, or you stayed silent 😤. But these days, any typo is treated like a crime against humanity.

I just try to take the corrections lightly and learn from them. Some people clearly need a hobby, so they're here to teach us the Oxford comma or whatever.

Oh no, a forum on the internet full of people complaining about commas! What a shocker! Next, we'll find out cats chase mice!

I can't even go near that place without them jumping on every little thing I type. It's like don't they have better things to do? Chill, folks!

People who take grammar too seriously over there are often missing the point of language—to convey ideas and be understood. Mistakes happen, and sometimes they're part of a broader linguistic creativity.

I mostly lurk there because I'm scared to post. Every little mistake gets blown up!

I actually love /r/GrammaticalOverlords, it's like my happy place! Who doesn't want their posts to be perfect? Maybe it's just not for people with fragile egos? 🤷‍♂️
