Gluten-Free Apple Crisp Heaven

Living gluten-free doesn't mean missing out on desserts. Slice 5 cups of apples and toss them with lemon juice, cinnamon, and a bit of sugar. For the topping, combine 3/4 cup almond flour, 1/2 cup quick oats, 1/3 cup brown sugar, and a sprinkle of nutmeg. Cut in 1/4 cup of cold butter until you get a crumbly texture. Layer the apples in a dish, top with your mixture, and bake at 350°F for 45 minutes. Perfection!

Looks simple and sweet! Going to give this a shot for our next family gathering; we have a few GF peeps so this is perfect. Might throw in some cranberries for a bit of tartness. Always gotta add my own twist, you know?

In the spirit of veganism and sustainability, has anyone tried this with a plant-based butter or coconut oil? I am all for gluten-free, but also trying to reduce dairy consumption where possible. Would love to know how it turns out!

Love seeing gluten-free dessert options that actually sound tasty! Quick note for those with oat sensitivity or celiac: make sure your oats are certified gluten-free to avoid cross-contamination. Many oats are processed in facilities with wheat products and can be unsafe for those with severe allergies or celiac!

Apple crisp looks delish and I love that it's gluten-free! But I'm cutting down on sugar - do you think I could substitute the brown sugar with coconut sugar or would that mess with the texture?

Gluten-free, huh? Nothing's as good as the real, wheaty deal but sure, eat your sad cardboard desserts if you must 😂

This is perfect for my celiac kiddo! Quick question: can I prep this ahead of time and freeze? Need dessert hacks that won't keep me in the kitchen too long.

Your apple crisp recipe sounds fab! Have you ever tried mixing in some flaked almonds for that extra crunch in the topping? Gives it such a lovely texture, plus extra protein! Also, a little maple syrup drizzled on top before serving brings a natural touch of sweetness that complements the nuttiness so well! 😋🍏
